BRUNEI DARUSSALAM, Saturday, 29th July 2023 –
Four (4) Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) personnel represented MS ABDB and achieved success by bringing home medals for the Pencak Silat Competition held in conjunction with the 77th Birthday Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the Persatuan Silat Brunei
(PERSIB) Open National Level for the Year 2023.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Dk Nur Amrina binti Pg Abd Aziz, RBN has been named Champion and brought home the Gold Trophy for Adult Women's Seni Cakak Asli category. Ordinary Rate Md Reduan bin Sofian, RBN, won the Silver Medal for the Men's Class A Sparring Competition. Able Rate Muhd Shafiq bin Ali Hassan, RBN, won the joint Bronze medal for the Men's Class I Sparring Competition. Able Rate Noorsuriani binti Rusman, RBN, won the joint Bronze medal for the Women's Class C Sparring Competition.
The National Level competition took place from 22nd July 2023 until 29th July 2023 at the Indoor Stadium, Brunei Darussalam.
